History Of The Barnyard

The Barnyard was started in 1993 and was originally located in Fruita, Colorado. Dale owned the business for 9 years until his employee Dave bought the business in 2002. Dave owned the Barnyard until Feb of 2016 at which time the current owners John & Tammy Hershberger purchased the business. The business was moved to its current location in Grand Junction in January of 2020.
The business has steadily grown since its inception & has thrived by providing quality sheds at affordable prices and by making each customers buying experience a excellent one. John & Tammy enjoy working with every customer to provide them a shed that will fit their needs & last for years to come. Each shed is built at our facility in Grand Junction to ensure the high standard of quality that was set when the business first opened over 30 years ago.

Current Owners

John & Tammy

John grew up in the Amish faith in Minnesota and left when he was 17 years old. John met Tammy shortly there after & they started to build a life together. They later moved to Wyoming, got married and John worked in the oil field and Tammy worked as a office manager. After living there for 6 years they decided it was time to make a change and so they moved to Colorado and was excited to see what the Lord had in store for them. After meeting with Dave, the previous owner, John & Tammy decided that this was the next chapter of their lives and they purchased the business and got right to work.
Since purchasing the business they have continued to grow the business by continuing to build quality sheds and providing excellent customer service. Their life’s purpose is to help people, to share their testimony of the goodness of God and to make their employees and customers feel like family.
They look forward to growing their business and solving their customers storage needs for years to come.
